Newspaper National Network and Centro Announce Major Strategic Alliance

Partnership Enables Precise Cross-Media Marketing across America's Newspapers and Local Interactive Media Properties

New York - Newspaper National Network, LP, a sales and marketing partnership of America's leading newspapers, today announced a strategic alliance with Centro, the leading provider of local interactive media services and technology. This alliance will enable advertisers to more readily develop and place integrated campaigns across thousands of print and online newspapers.

Local newspapers have the leading web site in 74 of 81 metropolitan markets, according to The Media Audit. Newspaper web sites reach 55 million adults each month, which is more than one-third of internet users, according to Nielsen/NetRatings as reported by NADBase. Additionally, 8 in 10 adults are reading the newspaper over the course of a week.

"This alliance brings the power of local engagement to national advertisers. In conjunction with Centro, we accentuate the extensive reach and impact that print and online newspapers provide," said Jason E. Klein, President & CEO of the Newspaper National Network.

"For more than a decade, Newspaper National Network has been a leader in helping marketers efficiently and easily place advertising in thousands of newspapers across the country which is exactly what Centro does for marketers across the web assets of the same newspapers. With NNN, we can now bring the true power of offline and online newspaper integration to national advertisers," said Shawn Riegsecker, Centro President. "NNN's efforts on behalf of the newspaper industry and their commitment to the success of their clients are exemplary. We're very excited to enter into this alliance."
