NNN Teams with Former Editor in Chief of This Old House Magazine to Build Integrated Solutions for Shelter Advertisers
New York - Newspaper National Network LP will be working with David Sloan, Former Editor in Chief of This Old House magazine, to develop integrated marketing solutions for shelter advertisers using newspaper assets, Jason E. Klein, NNN President and CEO announced today.
We're extremely pleased to have David work with the NNN. His expertise on how to reach and inspire homeowners will help us better serve our shelter clients, said Klein.
Newspaper home sections routinely reach 33 million homeowners which is more than any other media covering the home improvement and remodeling market, according to MRIs Fall 2004 release. Newspaper home sections readers are also 34% more likely to be active home improvers (3+ projects) outperforming Better Homes & Gardens, Country Home, Coastal Living, Martha Stewart Living and the TLC cable network. With a median HHI of nearly $69,000, newspaper home sections also deliver a more affluent audience than traditional shelter magazines.
Newspaper home sections have an environment and reach that compare favorably with vertical shelter magazines, said Sloan.
NNN has developed a proprietary newspaper database to support customized marketing programs for shelter advertisers. NNN capabilities include Custom Publishing, Newspaper Web Sites, and local tie-ins.
Sloan is President of Sloan & Associates Publishing Consultants and a skilled brand strategist with 20+ years of experience in special interest magazines. Most recently Sloan served as Editor in Chief of This Old House magazine at Time 4 Media, a unit of Time, Inc. He also spent 11 years at Rodale as Publisher of American Woodworker magazine, which he built into the category's top multi-media brand, with successful spin-offs.
