Newspapers: The Gift that Keeps on Giving

70% of American adults (18+) read a printed newspaper during an average week which makes the medium a powerful way to reach and engage holiday shoppers. The recently released How America Shops and Spends study conducted by MORI Research confirms that newspapers drive sales as ads are consumed, clipped and acted on. Research highlights:

  • 59% of adults rank newspapers first as the medium used to plan shopping or make a purchase decision in the last 7 days
  • 56% bought something in the past month as a result of a newspaper ad
  • 41% say newspapers are the medium used most to check out ads
